Music Marketing & Promotion

If you're an unsigned musician and you're NOT on MySpace, then you're doing something wrong. True, it may not be the most popular social networking site amongst certain groups of people, such as school children for example, but those stories you've probably heard about A&R people searching MySpace: they're actually true.

Getting your music played on radio is an absolutely essential part of building a following and bringing yourself to the attention of people within the music industry .... but it can be very difficult to get noticed by radio stations, who only seem interested in artists that have sold millions of records !! Radio Promoters can be your best friend in this situation, as it's their job to get new artists on radio stations nationwide.

As many of you will know, I've been a successful songwriter/composer & producer for over 10 years now. I took a break from writing music for a few years, but have recently started working on a few new projects. During my time "away" from writing, the Internet has gone from being a useful toolto absolutely essential .... and now, pretty much redefining the music industry as we know it.

The Not So Tech Savvy Musician

You are a musician, right? Not a computer geek. I know you want
to bust on to the online music promotion scene but you don’t
know where to start. It is tough because you know lyrics and
sound, not megabytes and gigabytes. But that is o.k., you still
have hopes of succeeding with your independent music promotion
    dream.

    Independent Music Promotion Ideas

If you are an independent musician, then I know that coming up
with great music promotion ideas is one of your main goals. Gone
are the days where musicians and artists have to rely solely on
record deals to make the big bucks. With the rise of online
music promotion on the Internet, the possibilities are literally
    limitless.
